This time was a great experience for me. During my time helping at the store I folded and sorted newly donated clothes. Talking to the owner I learned about how much impact volunteers like myself have on the organization. By spending time helping I was able to help them save money in having to hiring new people which leads to that funding going to their food homes and rehab programs. Overall I enjoyed this and learned about how much we can do to help our community.
we broke down boxes and helped potters house clear out some of the trash from their warehouse
we helped kids from impoverished families in springdale by talking to them and helping them practice their ability to introduce themselves and hold a conversation. This is in hopes that they can apply that to the workforce in the future
