We worked on a map, and we solved math problems together. Although we cannot communicate through English, math and science seems to be an unspoken language for Victor.

We worked on shape poems and how to write poems in different styles.
I went to art class for the first time, and it is cool to see how independent the children are. Victor is independent during work time, but needs help submitting an reflecting on his work.
The seventh graders wrote their final drafts for their papers today. It is crazy to see how much improvement has happened since last week. Their stories are brilliantly written, and so hilarious. I am proud of how much a week's time can do.
I showed Victor, the student I am working with the multiplication trick for using 9s, and he was so amazed. I feel as though we can connect through math because we do not need to speak English at all, and only deal with numbers.
The students from two periods were working on writing a paper, and today they had to plan out their paper. It was difficult to get started because although they had a topic to write about, it was hard to jumpstart the idea into a story. The students were friendly and seemed interested in their English class.
