This event has been cancelled.

About

Members of the Soccer Goal / Net Maintenance Crew primarily ensure that all the goals are anchored, nets are in place and secure, and any net issues are repaired.  There are 6 sets of goals that are maintained, including one set (12U field) of fixed goalposts that require the most attention, putting the nets up after practices and games so that the mower doesn't catch the nets, and then putting the nets down and anchoring them prior to practices and games.  Youth soccer Region 1625 supports boys and girls ages 4-19 in our Albion-Marshall-Springport-Homer-Concord areas.

Responsibilities include:
- Putting the 12U nets down prior to practices and games, and putting them back up after practices and games
- Inspecting nets each week, and repairing any nets that have holes in them
- Inspecting Goals each week to ensure that nets are secured properly to the goalposts; making corrections as necessary
- Inspecting Goals each week to ensure that goals are properly anchored into the ground so that they won't tip over
- Killing or pulling up grass that is near the nets / goalposts to help avoid lawnmower destruction of the goals/nets.

Tuesday by 5:30 take down 12U nets and stake them down.  Tuesday 7:30pm put up 12U nets.  Thursday 5:30 and 7:30p same commitment.  Saturday by 9am take down 12U nets, and mid-afternoon put up the nets.  Inspect and correct net issues on Tuesdays or Thursdays if possible, or at an alternative time so that goals and nets are in good shape for games on Saturday.  This will typically be about 3 hours of effort total per week.  This would be another 1 hour to 3 hours depending upon goal/net maintenance.
