About

Athens Eats Together is a county-wide initiative created to provide emergency food relief to any Clarke-County resident facing food insecurities due to COVID-19. We at ACCA are so proud of the opportunity to further expand our reach into the community to not only serve our existing seniors in need but all residents of Clarke County.

REMINDER: The 11am-1pm time slot is for pickup. Meals may be picked up at any time between these hours.

This volunteer station pairs drivers with neighborhood zones that they will deliver to. All of these delivery stations are in one convenient area in order to make delivery a breeze and allow you to get to know an area of your Athens Community in-depth. If possible, please sign up for the same days that you will be able to fulfill on a weekly basis so that you are able to get to know your route and the folks on it.

These routes leave from the beautiful Cotton Press in the Chase Park Warehouses at 149 Oneta Street and take about an hour to drive. Our routes are Monday through Friday and may depart any time between 11am and 1pm.

Our drivers deliver bags of food, produce, and frozen, prepared meals to vulnerable residents of our community. This includes older adults and people with disabilities who are homebound and unable to leave their homes due to health, mobility or transportation issues, are at an increased risk for COVID-19 and need to avoid the grocery store and are unable to utilize on-line delivery and other methods, and/or those who might not be able to afford essential groceries at the moment.
