About

Food & Friends is a non-profit organization that prepares, packages, and delivers nutritious, specialized meals to 2700 adults and children battling HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-critical illnesses.

Volunteers are needed to help us prepare and package our meals and groceries in the kitchen, or to deliver meals and groceries to our clients. We have great opportunities for individuals and groups!

Requirement Details
Delivery driver volunteers must use their own vehicle, be at least age 18 (or accompanied by someone age 18 or older), and have a valid driver's license. This is no minimum age for delivery volunteer passengers. This is also the best opportunity to interact directly with our clients.

Food prep and packaging volunteers must be at least age 14, and if accompanied by an adult if under the age of 18.
Parking Details
Free off-the-street parking is available. We are also Metro accessible via the Red, Green, and Yellow line at Fort Totten Metro station. We provide volunteers with a complimentary shuttle to get to Food & Friends from the Fort Totten Metro station.
